Born in Glastonbury, Somerset to a Brazilian father and Greek mother, Naima Bock is a musician, singer, and songwriter whose unique blend of folk, indie, and experimental sounds has captivated listeners with its haunting beauty and emotional depth. A former bassist of the critically acclaimed post-punk band Goat Girl, she stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist after leaving the band in 2019. Her early exposure to music was shaped by a mix of influences—her Brazilian heritage, her love of folk music, and her immersion in the DIY indie scene of London. These diverse roots are reflected in her solo work, beginning with her debut 2022 solo album Giant Palm, which immediately garnered critical attention for its raw authenticity and emotive vulnerability. She released her sophomore effort, Below a Massive Dark Land, in 2024.
