Formed in 2005, Namasté doesn't play Indian music, but a gentle blend of alternative and acoustic rock and rap, soul, pop and a zest of world fusion. The band started out on the Parisian café-concerts circuit, playing "Sorcière de l'amour", one of their first songs. In 2008, Namasté took to the festival circuit. " L'Absurde", Namasté's first single, received radio airplay in January 2010. The next logical step was the release of the L'Absurde EP in April 2010. Namasté went on to win a number of springboard prizes, and in April 2011 was selected to open the stage for the Ricard Live Music tour.
