Namika

Hanan Hamdi was born in the Main metropolis of Frankfurt on August 23, 1991. Hamdi, who later became known as Namika and was already friends with Abdi as a child, took a completely different artistic path to the gangsta MC: the singer, who also occasionally distinguished herself as a rapper, mainly stands for soulful sounds, good-humored pop pathos and occasional R&B elements. in 2015, she released her debut album Nador, which included her first number 1 single success with "Lieblingsmensch" . The song brings Namika so much into the public eye that she receives three Echo Pop nominations in 2016 in the categories Best Female Artist, Newcomer National and Radio ECHO. After a feature contribution on "Lass sie tanzen (Square Dance)" , a track by German rapper Ali As, in the same year, Namika's second album Que Walou was released in 2018. The long-player, which entered the German (number 13), Swiss (number 36) and Austrian (number 58) charts, now also contains tracks with a French-language component, as in "Je ne parle pas français". A remix of the song, which also features Parisian rapper Black M, even went platinum several times and stormed to the top of the singles charts in Germany. The crowning glory of 2018 came at the MTV European Music Awards, where Namika was nominated for Best German Artist . From 2019, she increasingly draws attention to herself as a guest musician: A participation in Max Raabe's title "Küssen kann man nicht allein" is followed by "Ein Monolog" (2021), which Namika sings for Sebastian Fitzek's LP Playlist .
