The indie pop band Never Shout Never hail from Joplin, Missouri, a small town with a population of 50,000 which lists 30 notable people among its sons and daughters, one of which is Christopher Drew, founder of Never Shout Never. Drew founded the band in 2007 and after releasing a series of EPs the band recorded their debut album 'What is Love?' in 2010. The album debuted at number 24 in the Billboard charts and began to establish the band as a capable, folk-influenced pop band whose lightweight brand of indie might not set music critics alight but which appealed to young US high school audiences. Although subsequent releases have failed to make the same impact as their debut album the band remain a popular attraction with American student audiences and have appeared numerous times on the Vans Warped Tour, a travelling rock show which tours the USA and Canada each year.
