Nate Feuerstein, aka NF, had his breakthrough with EP NF in 2014 which peaked at number four on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart. Born Nathan John Feuerstein on March 30, 1991, in Gladwin, Michigan he experienced a tumultuous childhood marred by parental divorce and then abuse at the hands of his mother's boyfriend. His father decided to raise him alone and so he took to rap music as an escape from his difficult past. In 2009, his mother tragically died from an overdose, an event which would later inspire his song "How Could You Leave Us." After signing to Capitol Christian Music Group in 2014, he released his 2014 EP prior to his debut studio album Mansion in 2015. It was followed by Therapy Session in 2016 and Perception in 2017 which debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 and included the track "Let You Down," which topped the Billboard Hot Christian Songs Chart and reached Number 2 in Norway and Sweden. His 2018 single "Lie" hit Number 19 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart and Number 48 on the Hot 100. 2019 saw the arrival of the single "The Search," the title track of his fourth album released in the same year. The Search became NF's second consecutive chart-topper on the Billboard 200 and went platinum in the US after achieving sales of over 1 million copies. In the following years, NF issued the commercial mixtape Clouds (2021) and delivered a fifth studio album titled Hope (2023), reaching Number 2 on the US pop charts.
