Nicky Jam

Of Caribbean origin, Nick Rivera Caminero was born on March 17, 1981 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, USA, before following his family to Puerto Rico. After releasing his first EP in 1995, he struck up a close friendship with Daddy Yankee, forming the Los Cangris duo with him. In 2001, this reggaeton enthusiast scored a major hit with the album Haciendo Escante. He then went on to collaborate with Hector & Tito, Farruko and Ricky Martin. International success came in 2015 with "El Perdón" (#56 in the U.S.), shared with Latin pop singer Enrique Iglesias. The song reached number one for many weeks in Spain and around the world. Nicky Jam follows up with the hits "Hasta el amanecer" (No. 73) and "El Amante" (No. 92), featured alongside " El Perdón" on his fourth album Fénix (No. 28) released in January 2017. Also an actor in several live-action films, Nicky Jam stars in the 2018 biographical series Nicky Jam: El Ganador. His next album Íntimo (No. 3 on the U.S. Latin music chart) is released in 2019 and contains a new number one in the Latin sphere via "X", where he shares the bill with Colombian J Balvin. Much in demand by his peers, Nicky Jam regularly collaborates with artists such as Ozuna, Alejandro Sanz, Becky G and Anuel AA on various minor hits. With Romeo Santos, Nicky Jam inaugurates 2021 with the single "Fan de tus Fotos",#11 on the Billboard Latin music chart. The same year, he followed up with "Magnum", recorded with the help of Jhay Cortez, which reached No. 78 on the same chart. In the summer of 2021, Nicky Jam releases a new opus, Infinity, which manages to rank ninth on Billboard's US Latin chart and thirteenth in Spain at the same time. Over the next two years, he released a series of collaborative singles: "Si Te Preguntan..." with Prince Roy and Jay Wheeler in 2022, which reached No. 96 in Spain; "69" with Feid in 2023, which reached No. 24; and "Oye BB" with Omar Montes the same year (No. 43). In 2024, Nicky Jam puts the finishing touches to a new album, Insomnio . Promoted by the single of the same name, it also included several duets with Eladio Carrión, Luar La L, Sean Paul, Beéle, Ryan Castro, Saiko, Feid, Benny Benassi, Kaeme and Trueno.
