Niels Frevert (born November 8, 1967 in Hamburg) is a singer and songwriter from Germany. The artist became known in the early 1990s as the singer of the band Nationalgalerie. niels Frevert left the band in 1995 and from then on focused on his solo career. In 1997, the singer released his self-titled debut album Niels Frevert. Just like the next album Seltsam öffne mich (2003), success was initially limited. in 2008, he attracted greater attention from music critics with the longplayer Du kannst mich an der Ecke rauslassen. With the follow-up Zettel auf dem Boden, Niels Frevert made it into the German charts for the first time in 2011 at number 61. The album Paradies der gefälschten Dinge, released in 2014, even made it to number 30 in the album charts. Another album and another chart success followed in 2019 with Putzlicht. Niels Frevert opens the year 2023 with the album Pseudopoesie. Once again, the singer climbs into the top 40 of the German charts.
