Nikhil–Vinay

Nikhil-Vinay is an Indian music composer and producer duo, consisting of Nikhil Kamath and Vinay Tiwari. They are best known for their work in the Indian film industry, where they composed music for numerous hit films, establishing themselves as two of the most successful music composers in the country. Their musical journey began with television commercials and documentaries, attracting attention with their unique style that blended Indian classical music with Western elements. Their first big break came with the film Jeet (1996), which was a huge commercial success and led the pair to further critically acclaimed projects. Over the years, Nikhil-Vinay have composed music for several hit films, including Bewafa Sanam (1995) and Tum Bin (2002) (known for the popular songs, "Koi Fariyaad", "Chhoti Choti Raatein" and "Tumhare Siva") as well as Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002) and Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai (2005). In addition to their work in the film industry, Nikhil-Vinay have also worked on several hit albums, including Jaanam (2000) and Bewafaai (2004), collaborating with some of the biggest names in the Indian music industry, including Lata Mangeshkar, Alka Yagnik, and Udit Narayan. Despite their immense success, Nikhil-Vinay parted ways amicably in the mid-2000s to focus on their respective careers, reuniting in 2015 with Preet Mein Thari and Aali Mahavrewali as well as several singles including “Delhi se hum aib” and “Rauaape ab n”, (2022) collaborating the following year with Indian singer Jaani and composer B.Praak on “Achha Sila Diya”, which was released on January 20, 2023.
