The Dutch band Nits may have more than thirty years of pop under their belts (the group was formed in 1974), but they have retained the freshness of their first albums, Tent (1979), Omsk (1983) and Adieu Sweet Banhof (1984). In 1987, Robert Jan Stips and Henk Hofstede's band enjoyed a brief and relative success with In the Dutch Mountains, albeit a satisfying one for these craftsmen of melody. Reduced to a trio, Nits released the album Strawberry Wood in 2009.
