An Israeli songwriter whose music combines electro-pop instrumentation, EDM rhythms, and politically-charged lyrics, Noga Erez was born in Tel Aviv on December 3, 1989. She moved to Caesarea as a child and honed her compositional skills in Jerusalem, where she attended the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Initially hoping to be a jazz musician, Noga Erez began embracing a more modern, electronic-leaning sound during the 2010s, mixing western influences and Middle Eastern nuances on her acclaimed 2017 debut single, "Toy." The song also appeared on her first full-length album, Off the Radar, which was released worldwide that same year. The record's innovative sound earned warm reviews from The New York Times and NPR, and the song "Dance While You Shoot" was featured in a popular commercial for Apple Music. Noga Erez supported Off the Radar's release with extensive touring in America, the UK, and Europe, before releasing her sophomore album, Kids, in March 2021. Preceded by the singles "VIEWS," "NO News on TV," "YOU SO DONE," and "End Of The Road," KIDS was created alongside Noga Erez's longtime collaborator, Ori Rousso, and continued the songwriter's exploration of political and cultural themes.
