NU'EST W was a sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NU'EST, consisting of members JR, Aron, Baekho, and Ren. The group was formed during the absence of Minhyun, who was promoting with Wanna One after finishing 9th in Produce 101 Season 2. NU'EST W released their debut EP, W, Here on October 10, 2017, which included the lead single "Where You At." The EP was successful, earning them their first music show win on M! Countdown and Music Bank. In the same year, the group also contributed to the soundtrack of A Korean Odyssey with "Let Me Out". In 2018, NU'EST W released their second EP, Who, You on June 25, promoting the lead single "Dejavu." They also released an OST entitled "AND I" for the historical romance drama Mr. Sunshine and a collaboration song with NC Soft's character brand, Spoonz. The group received the official platinum certification from Gaon Chart for their EP Who, You in November 2018, indicating that it reached 250,000 sales. They released their final EP as a unit group, Wake, N, on November 26, 2018, with the title song "Help Me." The group disbanded on December 31, 2018 following Minhyun's return from Wanna One.
