Nuttea or Daddy Nuttea remains one of the most respected figures in French ragga dancehall. He began his adventure with the High Fight International sound system in the 1980s, where Tonton David also cut his teeth. Daddy Nuttea thus gained real credibility, releasing Retour aux Sources in 1997. The real popular success came in 2000 with Un Signe du Temps and the singles "Elle te rend dingue (poom poom short) " and "Trop peu de temps". Despite the absence of a hit of this magnitude, 2004's Urban Voodoo reached number 44 in the charts. Almost a decade separates this opus from the next, Mister Reggae Music, a comeback EP released in early 2013.
