Thee Oh Sees formed in San Francisco in 1997 under the aegis of John Dwyer, who had previously played in a wide range of rock bands. After releasing their first album, Sucks Blood, in 2007, the band went on to release a series of pop, garage and psychedelic rock albums, including Putrifiers II (2012), followed by Floating Coffin (2013). The band's intense activity even wears out the musicians, who change regularly. After a period of turmoil, Thee Oh Sees recorded the albums Drop (2014) and Mutilator Defeated at Last (2015) with a new team, interspersed with a long tour. The latter is documented on the album Live in San Francisco, followed six months later by a new studio album entitled A Weird Exits.
