Okazaki Taiiku

Akitoshi Oka, aka Okazaki Taiiku, is a Japanese singer-songwriter born on July 3, 1989, in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture. He began performing after graduating from university in 2012 and released his first electronic J-pop album, Basin Techno, in 2016. Issued via SME Records, the album reached number 9 on Japan's Oricon Albums Chart, followed by XXL (2017), which fared even better, securing the second spot. OT Works (2019), his third full-length, hit the shelves in 2018. That year, his track "Kimi no Bōken" served as the opening song to the anime series Pokémon: Sun & Moon. A fourth studio effort titled Saitama saw the light in 2019, cracking the Top 5 on both the Oricon Albums Chart and the Billboard Japan charts. In 2021, Okazaki Taiiku unveiled the second volume of his OT Works series, with a third installment reaching number 28 on the Japanese Top 100.
