Born in Moscow, Russia on January 4, 1986, Olga Scheps is a classical pianist based in Cologne, Germany. She performs both solo recitals and piano concertos with an emphasis on Russian composers from the Romanticism era. Inspired by her father, a pianist and professor, she began playing piano at the age of four. Two years later, her family moved from Moscow to Germany, where she continued to study the piano. At the age of 12, she began performing concert recitals and came to prominence by winning several first prize competitions in 1999 and 2001. She began performing with orchestras when she was 14 and toured internationally, performing in the US, Italy, Poland, South Africa, France, Spain, Austria, Romania, Switzerland, Sweden, Israel, and many other countries. Olga Scheps signed a recording deal with RCA Red Seal in 2010, releasing her debut album, Chopin, that same year. Further albums include Russian Album (2010), Schubert (2012), The Chopin Piano Concertos (2013), Vocalise (2015), Satie (2016), Tchaikovsky (2017). Melody (2019), and Family (2021), which includes “Siciliana (from The Tree Of Life, Arr. For Piano from Antiche Danze, Suite No. 3 by Ottorino Respighi)”, which became one of her most recognizable recordings.
