Olly

Born Federico Olivieri on 5 May 2001 in Genoa, Liguria, the Italian rapper and singer known simply as Olly earned his stripes as part of the music collective Madmut Branco, which he formed in 2016 and with whom he released his first project, Piacere Mixtape. He stepped out as a solo artist the following year with the Namaste EP, a link-up with fellow rapper Matsby, which spawned the single "Chiara Ferragni," another collaborative effort, this time with Italian singer Alfa. After taking a short break to concentrate on his studies in the UK, he revived his homegrown musical endeavours with the EP CRY4U, propelled by the single "Bla-Bla Car." He bagged his first solo viral hit with "Il primo amore" in 2019 and after several other key moments, including a talked-about cover of "La notte" by Arisa, signed a deal with the Sony Music/Epic Records-distributed Aleph Records in 2021. After earning the title of MTV New Generation Artist of the Month, his star continued to soar with a coveted spot as a contestant on televised competition Sanremo Giovani. This resulted in his track "Polvere"—featured on the hit 2023 EP with Jvli, Il mondo gira / Gira, il mondo gira—being selected for the 2023 Sanremo Music Festival. In 2024, he scored his first Top 10 hit in Italy with the Jvli-assisted "Devastante" single.
