Orange Caramel were a sub-group of the South Korean K-pop girl group After School as a product of the Pledis Entertainment company. They released their first mini-albums in 2010 with members Nana, Raina and Lizzy. Their debut single 'Magic Girl' which came out in the same year proved to be a huge hit, selling more than one million units on digital download alone, ensuring the group's fame in their home market. Their 2011 single 'Bangkok City' proved even more successful and the next five years saw the group expanding their appeal into Japan and the Philippines. Their 2014 single 'Catallena' used a sample of a Punjabi wedding song to a disco beat in an attempt to further broaden their available markets. They have always used innovative costumes and choreography and even videography with their 2014 video for 'My Copycat' asking the audience to find each member of the group who were hidden in plain sight in various scenes. 2015 saw a fragmentation in Orange Caramel's activities. Their last performance as a group was on the 15th April 2016 at the SBS Cultwo Show Legend Concert. Since then all the members of Orange Caramel have pursued solo work.
