Özlem Özdil, born on December 8, 1979, in Hannover, Germany, is a celebrated Turkish Folk Music vocalist and saz (bağlama) player. She initially received her musical training in bağlama and repertoire from her father, the folk poet Dursun Özdil. Discovered by Sinan Çelik at the age of 17, she moved to Turkey where she honed her skills alongside masters like Musa Eroğlu, Güler Duman, Çetin Akdeniz, and Güray Hafiftaş. Özdil quickly became recognized in Turkey as one of the finest bağlama players, particularly known for her vocal prowess and the şelpe technique. Managed by Sinan Çelik, she has released six Turkish Folk Music albums and four singles under Duygu Müzik. Özdil is also multilingual, fluent in German and English, with a good command of French. Her discography includes albums such as Uzakların Türküsü (1996), featuring the hit "Kainatın Aynasıyım" and Gönlüm Dağlarda (200).
