Pablo Moreno de Alborán Ferrándiz, who goes by Pablo Alborán, is a vocalist and musician from southern Spain whose style blends Latin pop with Flamenco. Born in Málaga, he learned to play music as a child and took singing lessons. He performed locally and released his eponymous debut album in 2011. It was a huge hit in his homeland and went to number 14 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and number 55 on the Top Latin Albums chart in 2012. The release was nominated as Male Pop Vocal Album in the Latin Grammy Awards. The track 'Solamente Tú', which topped the singles chart in Spain and reached number 13 on Billboard's Latin Pop Songs chart, was nominated as Song of the Year and he was nominated as Best New Artist in the Latin Grammy Awards. He went on a world tour in 2011 and the concert release 'En Acústico' (2011) was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award as Best Contemporary Vocal Album. 'Tanto' (2012) topped the Spanish albums chart and reached number eleven on the Latin Pop Albums chart. It was nominated for Latin Grammy Awards as Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The title track peaked at number two on the Spanish singles chart and number 29 on the Latin Pop Songs chart. 'El Beso' and 'Quién' topped the Spanish singles chart and 'Dónde Está El Amor', featuring Jesse & Joy, hit number eight on the Latin Pop Songs chart and was nominated as Record of the Year in the Latin Grammy Awards. 'Terral' (2014) topped the Spanish albums chart and went to number two on the Top Latin Albums chart. It was nominated as Best Latin Pop Album in the 2015 Grammy Awards and as Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album and for Best Long Form Music Video in the Latin Grammy Awards. The track 'Por fin' topped the Spanish singles chart and reached number 20 on the Latin Pop Songs chart. 'Recuerdame' peaked at number five on both charts. His second concert release, 'Tour Terral (Tres Noches en Las Ventas)' (2015), went to number seven on the Latin Pop Albums chart and number 20 on the Top Latin Albums chart. His single 'Se Puede Amar (You Can Love)' (2016), theme of the telenovela 'Tres veces Ana' on Mexican television, was nominated as Record of the Year in the Latin Grammy Awards. 'Prometo' (2017) went to number one on the albums chart in Spain and the Latin Pop Albums chart, and reached number eleven on the Top Latin Albums chart. It was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best Latin Pop Album in 2018 and as Album of the Year and Traditional Pop Vocal Album in the Latin Grammy Awards. His 2018 single 'No Vaya a ser' was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award as Record of the Year. His 2019 schedule was to include appearances at venues in Córdoba, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Pamplona in Spain plus Paris, Rome and Lisbon.
