Pancho Barraza, born Francisco Javier Barraza Rodríguez on June 17, 1961, in Juan José Ríos, Sinaloa, Mexico, is a renowned singer-songwriter celebrated for his contributions to regional Mexican music. He began his musical journey with local bands such as Banda San Sebastian and Banda Camino before becoming the lead vocalist for Banda Los Recoditos in 1991. In 1995, Pancho Barraza embarked on a solo career, debuting with the album "Mis Canciones de Amor," which featured hits like "Ignoraste Mis Lágrimas" and "Mis Canciones de Amor." Throughout his career, he has released numerous successful albums, including Inventame un Amor (1997), El Vagabundo Que Te Ama (1998), and Vuelve Por Favor (2000). After a hiatus, Pancho Barraza made a notable comeback with the Mis 30 Aniversario series, releasing volumes that revisit his classic hits with renewed vigor. In 2024, he signed with Fonovisa Records, marking a new chapter in his career. That year, he dropped the studio album Emociones and the collaborative live release De Parranda Con los Grandes de la Banda alongside Jovanko Ibarra and Luis Angel "El Flaco."
