Spanish singer, María del Pilar Sánchez Luque, uses the stage name Pastora Soler who specialising in the Copla music style of her native Andalusia. She began her recording career in 1994 having signed to the Polygram record label in the same year. In 1999 she switched labels to the EMI subsidiary, Odeón Records and produced three more long play, and a number one hit single in Turkey with 'Dámelo Ya'. Following more label changes and a stylistic diversion to include more electronica in her sound, she briefly retired from live performance and recording in 2016, returning in 2017 with a number one album in Spain. Her most recent release was a live LP, 'La Calma Directo' in 2018.
