Paterne Maestro

Born in Brazzaville on September 3, 1996, Paterne Maestro, whose real name is Auge Paterne Okonda Otou, is a Congolese rapper and songwriter. Born into a family of six children, he discovered music at an early age, singing in churches before forging his artistic identity in neighborhood groups. In 2016, he officially launched into music with several singles, asserting his style through folk rap, a fusion of hip-hop and traditional Congolese rhythms. His interactive freestyle concept and iconic slogan "Eeeh saint michel eee, ba voisin ba djokelééé" appeal to a growing audience. Awarded the title of best rapper at the Brazza Best Awards 2023, he went on to forge a string of collaborations, notably with Gaz Mawete and Suspect 95, and established himself as a key artist on the African rap scene.
