Active since the mid-1940s, singer Patti Page reached fame in 1950 with "Tennessee Waltz ", which became her signature song. From 1966 onwards, Patti Page split her time between international variety and country, but no longer enjoyed any major successes. Over the course of her career, Patti Page sold over one hundred million records, mainly in the US market. The singer remained active, at least on stage, until September 2012, before passing away on January 1, 2013. In 2013, Patti Page was posthumously honored with a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award for her contribution to American popular culture.
