Paulina Goto is a Mexican actress who rose to fame through the Mexican telenovela 'Niña de mi Corazón' and made a sideways step into music through her role in 'Miss XV'. She was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México in 1991. Much of her childhood was devoted to dance and then rhythmic gymnastics, in which she rose to an international level. After a foray into television hosting she moved to Mexico for drama school and, aged 18, won the starring role in 'Niña de mi Corazón'. The role led to a recording contract with Sony Music Mexico. She recorded a self-titled debut album and the songs 'Mio' and 'A Pesar del Tiempo' were both used on the soundtrack for 'Niña de mi Corazón'. Following 'Niña de mi Corazón' Goto won the lead in the teen TV series 'Miss XV' and joined EME-15, the show's fictional pop group that went on to get to number two on the Mexican Albums Chart with its self-titled debut album in 2012. The group disbanded in 2014, but Goto went on to continue recording as a solo artist. A promised second album kept getting pushed back, but in the meantime a steady stream of singles was released alongside Goto's acting work.
