Peter Capaldi

Peter Capaldi is a Scottish actor, screenwriter, director and musician, born on April 14, 1958 in Glasgow. He is best known for his portrayal of the Twelfth Doctor in the Doctor Who series from 2013 to 2017 and the fearsome Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It. In addition to his screen career, he won an Oscar in 1995 for his short film Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life. On the music front, Capaldi was lead singer and guitarist of the post-punk band Dreamboys in the 1970s, where he played alongside Craig Ferguson. After a first solo album, St. Christopher, in 2021, his husky voice resurfaced on the track "Bin Night", followed by the album Sweet Illusions, which reached No. 1 in the independent charts in 2025.
