Born in Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, on June 3, 1995, singer Philippine Lavrey took an early interest in music, learning the piano, then the guitar and percussion, before working on her first compositions. After self-taught vocal training and a literary baccalaureate, she worked in the social sector and in education at a nursery school, without considering an artistic career until she auditioned for The Voice, la plus belle voix. Selected in 2016 to take part in the 5th season, Philippine Lavrey climbed the qualification ladder right up to the final rounds, finishing in 5th place. This experience, which revealed her to the public, opened the doors to the stage and providential encounters, notably with M. Pokora, with whom she sings a duet on the track "Les Planètes", taken from his album Pyramide (2019). Signed by Warner Music France, the author, composer, musician and performer begins by unveiling covers of hits, before presenting personal songs such as "Ma vie d'avant " with La Graine. After working as a repetiteur on the Enfoirés tour, she met American singer Benson Boone, who asked her to produce a French version of his hit "In the Stars", released in 2022. She also recorded her own folk version, alongside other compositions such as "Tomber en amour" and "Libre à deux", featured on her debut album 8, released in 2024 and ranked 193rd in the SNEP chart on its release.
