Originally from Uccle, not far from Brussels, (Belgium) where he was born on May 24, 2001, Pierre de Maere tried his hand at music when he was just ten years old, working loops on a sequencer. In the spring of 2020, with the help of his sound engineer brother, he published his first track, "Potins absurdes", on streaming platforms. Noticed by the Parisian label Cinq7, he worked on his first album, releasing tracks such as "Regrets" and "Menteur" in dribs and drabs. As the media began to compare him to Stromae for his diction and outfits, Pierre de Maere released his first EP, Un Jour, Je, in January 2022, featuring the track "Un jour je marierai un ange", which soon reached number 48 in the Belgian charts. The real breakthrough came with the release of Regarde-moi, his first opus, in 2023, which topped the Belgian charts, boosted by the hit "Enfant de " (no. 24). The young artist wins a Victoire de la Musique award in the Male Revelation of the Year category.
