Pommelien Thijs (April 4, 2001) is a Flemish singer, actress, and TV host. Born in Anvers but raised in Kessel, she first jumped into the public eye in 2012 as a presenter on Ketnet’s De Zoo-Reporters. That year, she also played the lead role on the musical comedy Annie, presented at the Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen and the Capitole de Gand. In 2013, Pommelien Thijs hosted the variety show Jij Kiest! with Rémi de Smet, followed by her film acting debut in the movie Labyrinthus a year later. Between 2014 and 2015, she starred as Laura Demuynck on the series Vriendinnen and then went on to portray Caroline Timmers on 2019’s #LikeMe. In parallel with her acting career, she also has a video-streaming channel where she uploads covers of well-known songs. Her debut single “Nu wij niet meer praten” with Dutch singer Jaap Reesema saw the light in 2020 and “Tranen” arrived in 2021, featuring Kris Kross Amsterdam and Kraantje Pappie. Also in 2021, her single “Meisjes van Honing” peaked at Number 21 on the Ultratop Singles Chart.
