Although their success dates back to the Nineties, in 2012 the band dFormed in Anois Pretty Maids celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of a continuous career. Formed in 1981, Pretty Maids became famous in Japan with melodic albums such as Red, Hot and Heavy (1984) and Jump the Gun (1990), produced by Roger Glover. Pretty Maids then passed through the years without any particular luster, before reawakening in the early 2000s with heavy, progressive metal. Wake Up to the Real World (2006), and especially Pandemonium in 2010, revive interest in Pretty Maids. It Comes Alive (Maid in Switzerland) shows that the soubrettes still have some spice in their thirties. Kingmaker, the fifteenth opus, confirms this and demonstrates the band's solidity, despite a few personnel changes.
