Pye Corner Audio is a UK-based electronic music project primarily known for its blend of ambient, synthwave, and post-industrial influences. The project is spearheaded by Martin Jenkins, who started creating music under the Pye Corner Audio moniker in the early 2010s. The project draws heavy inspiration from the soundtracks of 1970s and 1980s films, blending retro-futuristic sounds with a sense of eerie, atmospheric tension. Pye Corner Audio is often described as having a cinematic and immersive quality to its music, incorporating elements of dark ambient, electro, and industrial techno. Pye Corner Audio's work is defined by its use of analog synthesizers, vintage drum machines, and the manipulation of sound textures to evoke a sense of nostalgia and unease. The project's music often conjures images of desolate landscapes, dystopian futures, and the tension of an uncertain world. Among Pye Corner Audio's key releases are the debut 2012 album Black Mist, 2014's Sleep Games, released on the celebrated Ghost Box label, 2015's The Black Mill Tapes, 2021's The Spectral Corridor with The House in the Woods, and more. In 2025, he released the third installment of his acclaimed Where Things Are Hollow series, featuring remixes from Alessandro Cortini, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and others.
