Quelle Chris, a rapper and producer from Johnson City, NY, began his career in the band Wasted Youth before moving to Detroit. There, he formed Crown Nation with Denmark Vessey, using pseudonyms Q-Life and Quelle, and worked as a songwriter for Danny Brown. Quelle released his debut album, "Shotgun & Sleek Rifle", in 2011 and signed with Mello Music Group in 2013, releasing two studio albums and producing for Pharoahe Monch, Diamond District, and Open Mike Eagle. His fourth solo album, "Innocent Country", came out in 2015, followed by the instrumental album "Lullabies for the Broken Brain" in 2016. His fifth studio album, "Being You Is Great, I Wish I Could Be You More Often", was released in 2017, and his debut collaborative album with partner Jean Grae, "Everything's Fine", came out in 2018. Quelle released the acclaimed sixth solo album "Guns" in 2019 and followed it up with "Innocent Country 2" in 2020 and "Deathfame" in 2022.
