After a childhood full of exploring musical ideas, Welsh EDM songwriter, producer, and performer Rachel K Collier, born in 1989, put a college education steeped in music and technology to good use when she moved to London early in the 2010s. Her 2012 debut single, a cover of the reggae artist Jimmy Cliff’s “Hard Road to Travel”, reached the bottom rungs of the UK Singles Chart after being utilized in a travel advertisement. She teamed with famed British music producer Wookie later that year for the single “2 Us”. But her big breakthrough came the next year when she cowrote and sang on the number 2 dance hit “Boom Boom (Heartbreak)” with Ray Foxx. She continued to collaborate with other musicians, including Matt Zo, Blokhe4d, and Lung, while also shaping her unique live shows that have earned strong reviews for their mixture of music and visuals. She released the EP Words You Never Heard in 2015, and became an avid endorser of products from the company Ableton.
