Rapperiya Baalam

Born Ashok Manda Bishnoi in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, India on February 4, 1992, rapper, songwriter, and producer Rapperiya Baalam who first came to prominence in 2014 with his hit “Mhara Rajasthan” (featuring Swaroop Kahn). His musical journey began in school when he would write poetry and then put them to hip hop beats. He moved to Jaipur, India to attend college and would perform in clubs and learn about writing music and recording from fellow musicians and sound engineers. He issued his first self-penned song, “Tu Chala Gaya” (2009), which was followed a year later by his debut album, Illegal Nation, in 2010. His second album, Maahi Vey, was issued in 2012. Two years later, Rapperiya Baalam collaborated with playback singer Swaroop Kahn on the single “Mhara Rajasthan,” which became his biggest hit. Other popular songs by Rapperiya Baalam include "Hariyala Banna,” "Jaipur Anthem,” "Des Padharo Sa,” "Dil Mere," “Des Padhara Sa” (featuring playback singer Ravindra Upadhyay), and "Phir Dil Se Pukaar Tu" (featuring Mohit Gaur). Rapperiya Baalam issued his album Thar Coast in 2021. His songs “Shoorveer” featuring Rajneesh Jaipuri (2020), “Shoorveer II” with Jagirdar RV (2021), and “Shoorveer III” with Rajneesh Jaipuri, Jagirdar RV, and Meetu Solanski (2022) have been streamed millions of times on social media. In 2023, he released the single “Krantiveer Aazadi II” featuring Jagirdar RV and Gaurav Jain.
