Raye

Singer Raye, born Rachel Keen in London on October 24, 1997, has Swiss and Ghanaian origins on her mother's side, and Greek on her father's. She grew up in Tooting and Croydon, in the south of England. After spending her childhood in Tooting and Croydon, in the south of the English capital, she abandoned her studies at the BRIT School to devote herself to singing. Her first self-produced EP Welcome to the Winter, released in December 2014, was followed by two singles and a contract with the Polydor label, which released her second EP Second in the summer. A few weeks later, it was her participation in Jonas Blue's "By Your Side" and Jax Jones' "You Don't Know Me" that brought Raye to the attention of a wide audience. Subsequently, the singer, who collaborates with Major Lazer and David Guetta, enters the charts under her own name with the track "The Line", and in turn invites artists on the following singles: "Decline" (#15) with Mr Eazi, "Check" (#26) with Kojo Funds, "Cigarette" (#41) with Mabel and Stefflon Don and "Breaking News" with Louis the Child. In 2019, after the previous year's release of the Side Tape EP, Raye sings alone on "Love Me Again" (no. 59). The following year, she unveiled the mini-album Euphoric Sad Songs, then in 2023, released her first studio album, My 21st Century Blues, which reached No. 2 in the UK charts, aided in its ascent by the track "Escapism", recorded with rapper 070 Shake, which topped the singles chart. Several of his live performances are released, such as My 21st Century Symphony (Live at the Royal Albert Hall) with The Heritage Orchestra (2023) and Live at Montreux Jazz Festival (2024), before the release of the pop-rap track "Genesis", followed by "Oscar Winning Tears " and "Concert for One (Live)" in 2024.
