The band Raemonn was founded in Germany in 1998 by the former singer and guitarist of the Reckless Pedestrians, Rea Garvey. Together with Mike Gommeringer, Sebastian Padotzke, Uwe Bossert and Philipp Rauenbusch, the group signs a record deal before the debut album Tuesday is released in 2000 and reaches number 5 in the German charts. The first single from the album, "Supergirl", climbs to number 4, whereupon Reamonn performs as support act for the Guano Apes as well as HIM, a-ha and Robbie Williams. The two subsequent albums Dream No. 7 (2001) and Beautiful Sky (2003) achieve gold and platinum status. The fifth album Wish, released in April 2006, is followed by Reamonn in 2008. The first single "Through the Eyes of a Child" reached number 6 in the German charts. At the end of August 2010, Reamonn split up after eleven years of band history. Since then, Rae Garvey has concentrated on his career as a solo artist.
