Renascer Praise

Renascer Praise, founded in 1993 in São Paulo, is a Brazilian Christian music group known for its significant contributions to contemporary gospel music. Formed by musicians and singers from the Igreja Apostólica Renascer em Cristo under the leadership of Bishop Sônia Hernandes, the group aimed to bring high-quality Christian music to a wide audience. Over the years, Renascer Praise has released 23 albums, with highlights including Canto de Sião (2014), which earned a Latin Grammy nomination, and their iconic live performances, such as Deus é Fiel (1996) and Apostólico (2005), which showcased their mastery of blending worship with diverse musical styles. The group’s ability to fuse rock, samba, and other genres into worship songs has set them apart in the Brazilian gospel scene. Known for their powerful live recordings, including a groundbreaking DVD filmed in Israel, they have influenced gospel music across Brazil and internationally, performing in countries like the United States, France, and Israel. With multiple gold and platinum albums, Renascer Praise continues to lead in gospel music innovation, recently releasing 30 Anos de Louvor e Adoração (2024) to celebrate their 30-year legacy.
