American actress and singer Renee Olstead was born on June 18, 1989, in Kingwood, Texas. She began acting at the age of 8 and later jumped to fame as Lauren Miller on the sitcom Still Standing, which aired between 2002 and 2006. Stone Country, her independently-released studio debut, saw the light in 2000. After being discovered by composer John Foster, she released her jazz-influenced self-titled album in 2004 to favorable reviews. Over the next few years, she featured on trumpeter Chris Botti's To Love Again: The Duets (2005) and made an appearance on his live DVD Chris Botti Live with Orchestra and Special Guests (2006). Originally scheduled for release in 2006, a third full-length titled Skylark finally appeared in 2009. Following the release EP Without You in 2014, Renee Olstead issued a handful of non-album singles that include "Help Me Make It Through the Night" (2017), "Trying to Win Your Love" (2018), and "I Fall to Pieces" (2018).
