Rex Atirai is a New Zealand artist and singer of reggae pop, reggae fusion and music linked to the traditions of the Oceanic islands. With his personal style combining several influences with modern sounds, he began by singing with his family on the album Detsaw Inc 2007, before distinguishing himself as a solo artist on the following recordings Fantasy, Tribute and Revive, which appeared on listening platforms in 2020 and featured other artists from the New Zealand scene such as Jay Samson, Nalu, Aaron Tearetoa Mutua, Average Steve, Ephraima Toakia, Fairoa, Ceezy Herman, Pumba, Mr Haanz and Teaza Atirai. The first part of his archive, Language - The Archives Part 1, was published in 2024.
