Richie Sambora

Richie Sambora has been Bon Jovi's guitarist since 1984. He co-writes most of the band's songs and occasionally sings some of them. Influenced by Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Perry, Richie Sambora's style ranges from FM hard rock to rockin' blues. His 1991 debut album, Stranger in This Town, was unanimously acclaimed. Eric Clapton appears on the aptly named "Mr. Bluesman". Produced by Don Was, 1998's Undiscovered Soul is less memorable, and no more than a pleasant recreation. Marked by his divorce from actress Heather Locklear in 2007, Richie Sambora sank into alcohol and drug addiction. Aftermath of the Lowdown marks his comeback in 2012 after a life-saving detox.
