RIEHATA (born August 9, 1990) is a Japanese dancer, artist, and choreographer hailing from Niigata Prefecture. After completing junior high school in Kanagawa Prefecture, she ventured to Los Angeles to pursue her dance education, gaining international attention when a video of her unique swag style went viral. In 2010, she successfully auditioned as a backup dancer for Lady Gaga's Japan tour, taking a hiatus from dancing two years later to recover from an injuries sustained while she was performing. In 2014, she made a comeback and worked as an AI backing dancer, receiving invitations to perform alongside American singer and rapper Chris Brown in various music videos as well as on tour. Over the years, RIEHATA expanded her involvement in the dance industry by taking on the role of choreographer for well known groups as well as becoming the director of dance crew avex ROYALBRATS. In 2021, she delved into singing and rapping, collaborating with artists Salu and Sunnyboy on the track "Pause" and releasing several solo singles, including "Catch the Vibe" (2021), "Dream Island" (2022), "Whatever" (2022), "New Day" (2022), "Going In" (2023), "Twin Ray" (2023), and "Summer Escape" (2023) with the latter reaching number 38 on the Japanese charts.
