Pioneer and virtual inventor of minimalist techno, American Robert Hood remains one of the key figures of the electro movement. Initially involved with Underground Resistance, Robert Hood released the revolutionary Internal Empire in 1994, laying the foundations for minimalist techno. Although not seeking mainstream success, Robert Hood is nevertheless careful to make his music accessible. Over time, he incorporates elements of soul, jazz and hip-hop into his emaciated synthetic sound. Minimal Nation (1994), Nighttime World, vol 1 (1995) and Fabric 09 (2008) bear witness to his unblemished career. Omega in 2010 intends to continue the tradition.
