Roedelius

Hans-Joachim Roedelius is a German musician who was a leader in the development of what was called krautrock playing electronic pop music with innovative bands until 1969 when he and the late Dieter Moebius formed a group named Kluster, which subsequently was anglicised to Cluster and later Qluster. Michael Rother from Neu! joined them in a group called Harmonia and he worked with Brian Eno and other artists. He made his first solo recording, 'Durch die Wuste', in 1978 and went on to record a series of albums in what he termed his 'Selbstportrait' series including 'Lustwandel' (1981),'Offene Türen' (1982), 'Momenti Felici' (1987), 'Friendly Game' (1992) and 'Sinfonia Contempora, No. 1' (1994). After the turn of the century, he continued to release solo albums and collaborated with many other artists including Alquimia, Tim Story, Conrad Schnitzler, Nikos Arvanitis, Christopher Chaplin and Mateo Latosa. For his 2017 release 'Einfluss' he collaborated with pianist and electronic producer Arnold Kasar.
