Roger Sanchez is a Dominican-American house DJ, remixer, and producer. He was born on June 1, 1967, in New York City. Growing up in a family with a rich musical and political background, Roger Sanchez inherited a love for music early on. Sanchez's career took off as he played in nightclubs in New York City and later worldwide, becoming a well-known name in the European club circuit, particularly in Ibiza, where he has held summer residencies since 2000. He developed a reputation for producing successful remixes for various superstars, including Diana Ross, Kylie Minogue, Daft Punk, Madonna, The Police, and Maroon 5. Roger Sanchez's rise to fame was marked by his debut album First Contact, released in 2001. He gained recognition for his innovative sound, blending elements of house, electropop, and R&B. He achieved international acclaim with his hit song "Another Chance" in 2001, which became a global sensation. In 2003, he won a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording for his rendition of No Doubt's "Hella Good." Over the following years, he released successful songs such as his 2007 hit "Again." He also earned the Best House DJ title at the DJ Awards four times (1999, 2002, 2004, 2007) and receiving twelve nominations in total.
