Comprising singer and bassist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher, the Royal Blood duo formed in Worthing, England, during 2013. Noticed by Arctic Monkeys, the two musicians were asked to support them in 2014, a few months after unveiling a promising first single, "Out of the Black" (No. 78), confirmed by the four-track EP Royal Blood, which also featured the track "Little Monster" (No. 74). Now a British rock sensation in their own right, the duo released their namesake debut album in the summer of 2014 and found themselves on the bill of numerous festivals across the Channel, including Download Festival, Glastonbury and Reading. Royal Blood followed this up with a world tour that confirmed their potential with the general public. Endorsed by the likes of Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Muse, Foo Fighters and The White Stripes, the duo released their second album How Did We Get So Dark? in 2017, followed in 2021 by Typhoons, preceded by the single "Trouble's Coming".
