Ry Cuming, who goes by the name Ry X, is an Australian singer-songwriter of electronic music and alternative rock. He started out in his homeland and released a single titled 'Let Your Spirit Fly' that appears on the soundtrack of Will Shriner's 2006 comedy 'Hoot' starring Logan Lerman and Brie Larson. Moving to Los Angeles, he toured with Maroon 5 and in 2013 released an EP titled 'Berlin'. He became lead singer of British electronic music group The Acid in 2013 and also performed with German musician Frank Wiedemann in a duo called Howling. Tracks including 'Ghost', 'Tumbling Lights' and 'Shortline' are on the soundtrack of several TV series including 'The Royals', 'Riverdale' and 'Sharp Objects'. His 2016 release 'Dawn' went to number 21 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and his second album 'Unfurl' came out in February 2019.
