A Canadian actor born in London, Ontario, on November 12, 1980, Ryan Gosling has appeared in films such as Danny Balint (2001), The United States of Leland (2003), Forget-Me-Not (2004) and Half Nelson (2006), before joining indie rock band Dead Man's Bones in 2009 on vocals and guitar. The result was an album released the same year. He then sang his own songs and played ukulele for the film Blue Valentine (2010), whose soundtrack was penned by the band Grizzly Bear. The following year, he revealed himself to the general public through his roles in Crazy, Stupid, Love and above all Drive, which won an award at the Cannes Film Festival, then alongside George Clooney in The Steps to Power. In 2016, he acted, sang and co-starred with Emma Stone in Damien Chazelle's musical La La Land, from which the track "City Stars" was taken , winning five awards including the Critic's Choice Awards, Satellite Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
