Ryo Nishikido

Ryo Nishikido is a Japanese singer, actor, and songwriter from Osaka, Japan. He was born on November 3, 1984, and is best known as a member of the popular J-pop boy band Kanjani Eight. Nishikido first gained fame as a member of the group News, which was formed by the talent agency Johnny & Associates. He joined Kanjani Eight in 2004, and the group has since become one of the most successful and popular boy bands in Japan, releasing numerous albums and singles and performing sold-out tours across the country. In addition to his work with Kanjani Eight, Nishikido has also pursued a successful acting career, starring in a number of TV dramas and films such as 1 Litre of Tears, Attention Please, and Last Friends. In 2010, he made his silver screen debut in the film A Boy and His Samurai. Following his departure from Kanjani Eight in 2019, Ryo Nishikido made his official debut as a solo artist later that year with the studio album Nomad, followed by Note in 2021. Nocturnal, his third full-length, appeared in 2022 and rose to Number 4 on the Billboard Japan Albums chart.
