The Dutch DJ and producer known as San Holo was born Sander van Dijck in Zoetemeer in 1990. He studied production techniques and studio craft at Cadarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam and after leaving university began to work as a guitar teacher before eventually beginning to make a name for himself as a producer by 'ghosting' for other DJs. After enjoying some commercial success van Dijck secured a deal with Heroic Recordings and began to work on his own material. His breakthrough came with his interpretation of the track 'The Next Episode' originally recorded by the American rapper Dr. Dre. The track went viral on YouTube and has gone on to garner in excess of 205 million views and promoted van Dijck's music to audiences around the globe. In 2018 van Dijck released his long-awaited debut album titled 'Album1', a collection of 12 EDM tracks featuring artists such as Bipolar Sunshine, James Vincent McMorrow, Caspian and Sofie Winterson. The album received widespread praise amongst EDM fans and critics and has established van Dijck's reputation as a talented songwriter and musician as well as being a gifted producer.
