Jefferson Fernandes Luiz, who went by the names Sapao or MC Sapao, was a Brazilian singer-songwriter and MC who had hit singles in his homeland with 'Diretoria' (2005) and 'Eu Tô Tranquilao' (2006). He had drug-related run-ins with the law and suffered with serious health issues. He died of pneumonia aged 40 on 19th April 2019. He released an album titled 'Funk Mix' in 2006 and other singles such as 'Classe A' (2013), 'Vou desafiar voce' (2014) and 'Rei do Baile' (2015) featuring Mr. Catra and MC Guimê.
