Sasso

Sasso, whose parents are of Moroccan and Togolese origin, was born in Vénissieux, in the Rhône département, on June 5, 2002. He grew up in Lyon's third arrondissement, in the La Villette district, and developed an early passion for urban music. In 2018, the man who first cut his teeth as part of the duo Sasso & Lilka launched the concept Jesuispassédansle69, a direct reference to Marseilles-based Fianso's JesuispasséchezSo. This saw him practicing his flow and singing skills alongside other artists who came to lend a hand, such as Ms, Mini Zepek and his sidekick Lilka. In 2019, his track "Pardonne-moi" went viral, surpassing one million views on YouTube. In 2020, having just signed with Wagram, Sasso made a name for himself with a number of singles, including "On va tout casser", the duet "Parano " with another Lyon rapper, L'Allemand, and above all "J'picole", which soon became a hot trend on audio and video streaming platforms. In December 2020, he released his first album, Enfant2LaRue Vol.1, featuring these early tracks. He calls for a second instalment, released in July 2021. It is led by the platinum-selling track "Elle veut ", recorded with Kaza. In May 2022, Sasso teams up with L'Allemand for a joint album, 2 Lions . Volume 3 of Enfant2LaRue was released in August 2022. It was followed two years later by Vice City , which marked Sasso's comeback, with the album reaching number 100 in the French charts.
